CARE lists this under their statement of faith:

• We are called out to be a special people to God, to love Him and serve Him as the one true God. We are also free and empowered to love our neighbors and to serve one another.

First, a picture of Hitler by a person who says they are a Messianic Jew is highly inflammatory. I get she’s trying to paint liberals as being like Hitler, but is that really what Jesus would do? Is Cheryl really saying all liberals are like Hitler?

This is what she wants CARE to represent to survivors of horrific abuse.  Let’s challenge this meme a bit. Are these things really so bad to want for people?

Israel has universal health care and has had it since 1995. One-hundred percent of the population is entitled to comprehensive coverage provided by four competing health plans. LINK 

Gave free homes to the homeless. This is what the Bible says about homeless people and how they should be treated. The bible that Cheryl says she follows says these things:

Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him. (prov 14:31) For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’ (Deut 15:11) and But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:17-18) “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” (Luke 3:11)

Created Jobs for Jobless.  The New Deal by Franklin Roosevelt created new jobs during the great depression. “When Roosevelt took office in 1933, he acted swiftly to stabilize the economy and provide jobs and relief to those who were suffering.” LINK  

Vegetarian. “Unless you have been living under a rock you will probably already know that Israel has become the leading vegan country in the world, with 5.2% of the population eschewing all animal goods in their daily diet. This number has more than doubled since only 2010 when 2.6% of the population was vegan or vegetarian.”  LINK LINK

Animal lover. As I recall Cheryl owned a dog. I believe it was/is a Golden Retriever. 

Gave free college education to all.  The government of Israel sets the college tuition prices. Higher education is the only big-ticket item that’s still consistently and dramatically cheaper in Israel. The annual cost of tuition at an Israeli university (which is set by the government) is today NIS 10,200 or $2,890.  LINK  

Gun control laws. Israel has compulsory military service everyone has to serve if they are able. The gun control laws changed in 2018. 

But, Unlike the US, Israel does not allow unlimited gun ownership and strictly controls who is allowed to own a weapon. Citizens wishing to be armed must be over 21 and have a valid reason for needing a gun, such as living in Judea and Samaria or working in a hazardous environment. Buying assault weapons is forbidden and every gun owner is only allowed to own up to 50 bullets. LINK 

Eliminated poverty and hunger.  I think they are referring to Hitler’s Hunger Plan  On this, all I can say, “Wow Cheryl. This is the Jesus you represent to the world as well as your organization.”

Again, I stress: If you are a survivor, don’t go to CARE. It has all the red flags of a cult.

In closing aren’t a number of these things what Jesus and Christians should be for? Feeding the homeless, taking care of the sick (Jesus healed and didn’t charge), creating jobs so people don’t starve and can live, didn’t Jesus want to eliminate poverty and hunger?

Posting a meme of Hitler, one of the most evil men in history, ending with this quote, ‘He was everything today’s liberal craves’ is a slap in the face to Jesus. Because, let’s face it Jesus asked his followers to love one another and to love your neighbor as yourself.  You see none of that in Cheryl’s post.

This post also implies that liberals use the same ends to a means as Hitler. Liberals aren’t the group of people who are detaining children and separating them from their parents at the American border. Liberals aren’t the ones targeting people of the Muslim faith. Liberals aren’t the ones targeting GLBTQ people. People like Cheryl are. These are the same kind of people Hitler targeted.
